Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical standards, procedures, proof-of-concept architectures, and automation solutions for enterprise IT systems.
- Orchestrate public and private cloud infrastructure and automate configuration, provisioning, testing, release, deployment, and continuous integration processes.
- Manage and optimize Azure cloud services, distributed services, legacy compute environments, enterprise integrations, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Data Factory.
- Monitor alerts, logs, and performance; troubleshoot complex distributed environments; and resolve issues affecting software releases and service delivery.
- Configure and integrate custom and third-party applications and add-ons while supporting end users, Microsoft Support, and other vendors.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, IT, business, and external-provider teams to improve service lifecycles and streamline operations.
- Participate in rotational on-call duty and scheduled or unscheduled weekend and after-hours maintenance and support.
- Lead knowledge sharing and effectively explain complex solutions and issues to team members and technical and business leadership.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies leveraging Terraform, including Azure DevOps, pipelines, Git, and YAML.
- 4–5 years of experience with orchestration and containerization using Kubernetes.
- 4–6 years of experience with Azure public-cloud solutions and Azure data-integration technologies, including Azure Service Bus and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, directory services, Microsoft Windows, Linux server administration, automation tools, infrastructure as code, and complex distributed-environment troubleshooting.
- Strong performance-tuning expertise and scripting skills, particularly with PowerShell, Terraform, and other infrastructure-as-code languages.
- Experience with public-cloud offerings and services including IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, Office 365, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Agile methodology, site reliability engineering, ITIL, and API integration of infrastructure systems such as Azure, ServiceNow, Active Directory, and Thycotic Secret Server.
- Identity-management experience with SSO and MFA is a plus, as is SQL and structured-data-platform experience.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or information systems is preferred; equivalent work history or experience and candidates working toward a degree are also considered.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills, analytical and process-development abilities, collaboration skills, and a service-oriented professional approach are required.
