Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop data solutions.
- Implement data quality checks and maintain data integrity and reliability across the data lifecycle.
- Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Document data architecture, processes, and workflows.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
- Support data analytics initiatives and apply current data engineering technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 9 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with BigQuery, Spark, Kafka, DBT, or SQLMesh.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, machine learning techniques and frameworks, and DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD.
