Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and iterate an automation and AI toolchain combining traditional productivity tools, spec-driven design, and agentic workflows.
- Test automation and AI platforms with IT and Security teams, gather feedback, and improve the platform.
- Enable teams and departments to adopt automation platforms, self-built AI agents, and standardized engineering practices.
- Drive the evolution of IT operations toward an infrastructure-as-code model through hands-on architecture and design.
- Contribute to the IT/Security operating model and support the transition toward build-not-buy teams.
- Mentor and develop the IT engineering team and provide technical guidance to non-technical citizen builders and stakeholders.
- Champion cross-departmental adoption of shared automation and AI platforms while reducing operational silos.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating at Staff Engineer level, ideally in a successful cloud-native hypergrowth SaaS environment.
- Hands-on coding and systems-thinking experience, ideally from a platform or Site Reliability Engineering team.
- Track record of adopting AI-native workflows and turning experimental prompts into robust, production-grade automated workflows or agents.
- Deep technical mastery in some combination of infrastructure-as-code, modern CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, and enterprise workflow orchestration such as n8n or Zapier.
- Ability to design hybrid architectures that balance agentic-workflow flexibility with utilization costs and financial efficiency.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder-management, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to citizen coders and executives.
