Base Salary
$101k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with strong test coverage.
- Translate product requirements into robust, modular, configurable, scalable, secure, and maintainable distributed application designs.
- Lead design and code reviews across multiple applications.
- Lead multiple sprint teams within the same product area to deliver roadmap features and resolve delivery impediments.
- Collaborate with teams, stakeholders, and product managers on estimation, prioritization, planning, and delivery.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across multiple teams.
- Drive technical strategy, operational excellence, best practices, quality, performance, scalability, maintainability, and observability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience leading multi-team engineering initiatives in distributed application environments.
- Preferred: 7 or more years of Guidewire PolicyCenter experience.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices experience.
- Preferred: 3 or more years of system design experience.
- Preferred: 2 or more years of AWS or related cloud technology experience.
- Proficiency in one or more industry-standard programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, relational databases, NoSQL, caching solutions, APIs, messaging, data streaming, workflow, integration frameworks, containers, cloud platforms, and distributed application systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, influence, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
