Responsibilities
- Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems.
- Participate in software development lifecycle activities, process requirements, and reviews on a collaborative team.
- Support the continued development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- At least 5 years of software development, maintenance, or support experience in the listed operational, modeling, assurance, analysis, and integration environments.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development, design patterns, software insulation techniques, and plugins.
- Experience working with Linux and UNIX environments and integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
- Familiarity with UML syntax and driver-based and automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a required government secret security clearance or other contract-required authorization.
- Preferred experience includes ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit Framework, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 lifecycle processes and procedures, and assemblers.
