Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support security features for the AWS OpenSearch platform.
- Build technologies that help customers strengthen security posture and meet AWS Cloud security requirements.
- Work on core AWS OpenSearch systems and contribute to the open-source OpenSearch community.
- Solve complex problems involving data storage, query optimization, JVM performance optimization, security, and machine learning.
- Support plugin teams with host logging, patching, and vulnerability-detection security requirements.
- Use metrics and data to validate assumptions and continually improve the platform.
- Help set the vision and objectives for AWS OpenSearch based on customer needs and market opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
