Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure across multiple products.
- Design and manage infrastructure modernization initiatives and integrate legacy systems into modern cloud-native environments.
- Develop disaster recovery strategies and production-grade solutions that safeguard uptime.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure environments and bottlenecks across Linux and Windows systems.
- Maintain global cloud environments against stringent security guidelines and PCI and SOC2 compliance frameworks.
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis while promoting blameless postmortems and error-budget discipline.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior and mid-level infrastructure engineers.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical or engineering discipline with 5+ years of hands-on experience, or equivalent professional experience with 8+ years in high-growth cloud environments.
- Deep production experience with AWS, Terraform, Atmos, and Python or equivalent automation languages such as Bash or Go.
- Hands-on expertise with observability, including distributed tracing, logs, metrics, RUM, SLOs, SLIs, and monitors-as-code using Datadog or an equivalent stack.
- Production experience with service mesh and L7 proxies such as Envoy or Istio and Kubernetes ingress in high-throughput request paths.
- Advanced operational knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, and container orchestration.
- Experience with secrets management and rotation using Infisical, Vault, or AWS Secrets Manager in PCI/SOC2 environments.
- Experience with AWS MSK/Kafka and AWS-managed SQL and NoSQL database solutions, including Amazon Aurora.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking architecture, security protocols, firewalls, and Linux server environments, with Windows experience where applicable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear technical documentation.
- Experience in high-growth technology startups or fast-paced corporate engineering environments is preferred.
