Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain finance desk applications supporting position management, trade capture, electronic trading, market risk processing, and reporting.
- Perform analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support across the application development lifecycle.
- Understand business priorities, document requirements, and determine solutions with internal technology teams and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate global testing and application rollouts, provide L3 production support, and support production flows.
- Contribute to DevOps pipelines, strategic architecture, operating standards, and process improvements.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend solutions and security measures.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts while operating with limited direct supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or substantial practical experience in software delivery.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a Java Developer role.
- Strong core Java, JDBC/JPA, and RESTful web services skills.
- Experience with Hibernate, JUnit, Spring Boot, microservice-style application development, and distributed software testing.
- Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle and MSSQL.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, UDeploy, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Unix or Linux and cloud-based architectures.
- Experience with messaging and caching frameworks such as Kafka and GemFire/Ignite is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and with globally distributed teams, take ownership, drive strategy, and collaborate effectively.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
