Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners in a geographically distributed remote environment.
- Develop and maintain multi-tenant SaaS systems using Python, Django, Ember, and PostgreSQL.
- Design and implement well-structured, testable, efficient software following company processes and industry best practices.
- Lead technical design initiatives and efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Use pull requests to support knowledge sharing, teaching, and learning.
- Contribute to shared ownership of team dynamics, processes, and growth.
- Write and maintain robust automated tests.
Requirements
- Experience with Python and Django, including REST APIs, models, and migrations.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and the ability to write and reason about SQL.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS concepts including tenant isolation and shared versus tenant data.
- Experience with a JavaScript framework and modern single-page application concepts.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and pull-request-based delivery.
- Experience using Docker for local development.
- Willingness to use AI in day-to-day software development.
- Django REST Framework or an equivalent API framework is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Redis, background jobs, queues, or scheduled work is strongly preferred.
- Experience with payments or billing platforms such as Stripe is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS services and concepts including S3, RDS, and containers is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of sessions, OAuth, permissions, feature flags, frontend routing, data layers, forms, and components is strongly preferred.
- Experience debugging production issues using logs and stack traces is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AI in software delivery, observability, end-to-end testing, CI/CD, integrations, or e-commerce/POS/cart flows is a plus.
