Base Salary
$100k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and REST APIs supporting enterprise payment solutions.
- Contribute to the architecture, development, and operation of scalable microservices and distributed systems.
- Lead maintenance, modernization, and ongoing evolution of a mission-critical dealer-facing application.
- Own and support applications in production, including monitoring, troubleshooting, reliability, scalability, security, and performance improvements.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes for reliable software delivery.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, business, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Apply clean code, code review, automated testing, coding standards, and security requirements.
- Participate in team planning, standups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software development experience using C# and the .NET framework for enterprise applications.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs, including Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, versioning, testing, and service integration patterns.
- Knowledge of software development concepts, object-oriented design, relational database design, indexing, query optimization, and SQL development.
- Experience with Test Driven Development and testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, or equivalent.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and SonarQube or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting production services and implementing observability with Datadog or equivalent monitoring solutions.
- Experience using Kubernetes and Docker for application deployment and management.
- Familiarity with modernizing applications toward current .NET platforms, including .NET 8.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum or eXtreme Programming environment or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience includes .NET Core, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, high-traffic distributed systems, Fortify, Contrast, Kafka, AWS, PCF, Azure, and application performance monitoring tools.
- Five or more years of experience is preferred.
