Base Salary
$265k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead major product features end to end, including problem definition, solution exploration, system design, coding, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Design and implement enterprise-grade backend services, APIs, data models, and user-facing frontend experiences.
- Create clean abstractions and reusable systems that increase product velocity.
- Own the quality, security, availability, and performance of team-built systems.
- Drive technical decisions within the team and influence direction across adjacent teams.
- Respond to incidents, resolve bottlenecks, and eliminate recurring operational toil.
- Deliver software through peer review, continuous integration, and automated testing.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance on engineering standards.
- Partner with Product, Design, and engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into reliable shipped software.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 12–15 years of software engineering experience shipping and operating production systems at scale.
- Deep modern frontend and backend expertise with strong judgment about where to solve problems.
- Experience leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives from inception through launch.
- Strong system design skills in data modeling, API design, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Ability to elevate teams through mentorship, code review, and technical standards.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design.
- Experience with multi-tenant enterprise SaaS, including concerns such as SSO, RBAC, audit logging, and availability SLAs.
- Familiarity with Kotlin, TypeScript, React, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Experience building platform features or integrations used by other teams or customers.
- Experience in high-growth or startup environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks is preferred.
- Experience partnering with security teams on secure-by-default infrastructure and access models is preferred.
- Exposure to service mesh, advanced networking patterns, or multi-region architectures is preferred.
- Experience applying AI-assisted tools or workflows to improve infrastructure safety, speed, or operational signal is preferred.
