Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions and production algorithms.
- Define architecture for complex deliverables and address technical problems across multiple technologies and applications.
- Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test creation, release readiness, and incident/root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated engineering outputs.
- Lead AI and machine-learning delivery practices alongside software engineering best practices.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and create visualizations and reporting to improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Configure and optimize Spark clusters and create Databricks data pipelines and machine-learning model deployments.
- Lead technologists in managing and resolving complex technical issues.
Requirements
- Formal training and certification in software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience leading technologists and managing complex technical work.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, debugging, and maintenance in a large corporate environment.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Knowledge of Python, PySpark, Java, SQL, Spark, machine-learning modeling, data pipelines, and large-scale data quality validation.
- Experience configuring and optimizing Spark clusters and using AWS services including EMR, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Working knowledge of Databricks for data pipelines and machine-learning model deployment.
- Preferred experience with Spring Boot, high-volume and low-latency APIs, Pandas, NumPy, AWS certifications, Apache Airflow, and modern LLM techniques.
