Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and enhance the XiP large-scale distributed calculation platform and Risk Calculation Engine.
- Improve calculation-engine performance, resource utilization, scalability, throughput, and distribution mechanisms.
- Analyze and optimize parallelization strategies that execute approximately 250,000 hours of compute in a 90-minute run.
- Develop and coordinate strategic scaling initiatives aligned with future business demands and customer needs.
- Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, customers, and stakeholders to support reliable, secure, and scalable platform operations.
- Participate in technical discussions, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and knowledge sharing within the development team.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience with Java.
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
