Responsibilities
- Build and contribute to enterprise-grade, reliable, and secure cloud software and services.
- Work on meaningful real-world projects contributing to systems used by global customers.
- Gain hands-on experience with database internals, large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, compiler design, query execution, streaming pipelines, and advanced SQL features.
- Collaborate with experienced colleagues, mentors, and engineering teams to solve problems creatively.
Requirements
- Be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university program during the internship, from the third year of a bachelor's program through master's or PhD study, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related technical field.
- Have foundational knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
- Have programming experience in C++ or Java and familiarity with systems programming concepts such as multithreading and concurrency.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
- Coursework or familiarity with database systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, or compilers is preferred but not required.
- Experience or interest in big data engineering, data processing, or geospatial features is a bonus.
- Open-source contributions, research experience, or publications in databases or distributed systems are desirable.
