Responsibilities
- Establish requirements and prioritize features for moderately complex software design projects.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and address software issues early in development.
- Complete software design and development projects through testing and quality inspections.
- Develop and test technical and user documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and user manuals.
- Review and optimize existing software or firmware designs and develop tools or scripts for analysis, debugging, or problem solving.
- Provide technical recommendations, mentor junior personnel, and collaborate with internal, external, and customer stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and software development frameworks.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, system-level programming, software testing strategies, debugging tools, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies, solve complex problems, work independently, manage priorities, and mentor junior team members.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across functions and engaging external customers or stakeholders.
