Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead vehicle-level pre-merge and post-merge software test plans across chassis, body, thermal, and other embedded domains.
- Design and execute in-vehicle testing, including ride and handling evaluations, stability assessments, performance tuning, and exploratory test routes.
- Create and improve vehicle-level test processes, validation workflows, repeatable procedures, and success criteria.
- Maintain prototype fleet readiness for testing, demonstrations, and development activities.
- Install, flash, configure, validate, and troubleshoot ECUs and software builds, including vehicle bring-up, hardware retrofits, wiring harness checkout, and instrumentation.
- Debug software and hardware integration issues across chassis controls, body, thermal, infotainment, and related vehicle domains.
- Collect, analyze, and report CAN, LIN, and Ethernet logs and support root-cause investigations.
- Support configuration of Hardware-in-the-Loop benches and integration of chassis control modules for simulation and testing.
- Document test procedures, results, software issues, reproduction steps, and logs using task and bug-tracking tools.
- Travel to proving grounds and company test sites for vehicle setup, data collection, seasonal validation, and release milestones.
- Support prototype operations and test campaigns during evenings or weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in vehicle-level software validation, systems integration, prototype vehicle operations, or automotive technician work.
- Strong knowledge of automotive embedded systems, including chassis control ECUs, body modules, thermal management, braking, steering, and powertrain.
- Experience with vehicle bring-up, calibration loops, multi-domain integration testing, ECU flashing, calibration updates, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with CAN tools and diagnostic interfaces, including CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, Intrepid CS tools, and MATLAB.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle dynamics concepts and ride and handling testing methods.
- Ability to operate development vehicles safely and confidently in test environments.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel for test trips and support off-site builds and test campaigns.
- Preferred qualifications include EV platform experience, modern vehicle software architecture knowledge, proving-ground driver training or at-limit driving experience, HIL and vehicle simulation experience, prototype wiring and sensor skills, Python scripting or data-collection automation experience, ISO 26262 knowledge, and familiarity with software release and test case management systems.
