Responsibilities

  • Partner with team members to improve software skills, system understanding, design thinking, and team performance.
  • Embed within or engage across teams to deliver business objectives using intentional architecture.
  • Collaborate with shared services, other organizational towers, external vendors, product management, and solutions architects.
  • Research and champion new tools, approaches, cloud technologies, software practices, and strategies that improve business outcomes.
  • Develop software features, scaffolding, automated testing improvements, and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Promote Agile and DevOps practices, production-first thinking, scalability, uptime, and rapid incident resolution.
  • Maintain technical backlogs and serve as a subject matter expert on core systems, maintenance, and support.
  • Lead by example, mentor others, and promote modern software development patterns, security, simplicity, reuse, and team growth.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of software development experience required.
  • 2–4 years of experience leading multi-developer projects required.
  • 2–4 years as a lead and/or subject matter expert preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field, or commensurate experience, preferred.
  • Expertise in one or more high-level programming languages and the ability to move between products and languages.
  • Expertise optimizing data architecture, database queries, and indexes for scalable, performant products and services.
  • Proficiency designing, building, and optimizing automated pipelines with automated testing and automated security controls.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams and leading measurable process improvements.
  • Ability to implement features across mobile, web, and API service levels as applicable.
  • Ability to lead by example, inspire teams, and demonstrate mastery of software languages, architecture, and design.
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, evaluate AI outputs, integrate AI into workflows, and apply responsible AI practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
