Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, resilient, cloud-native applications using C#/.NET Core, microservices, Kafka, and SQL.
- Drive architecture, technical design, architecture reviews, engineering governance, and technical strategy across multiple projects and application domains.
- Provide technical leadership for complex engineering initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and engineering standards.
- Partner with business, product, architecture, technology, and management teams to define solutions, integrate functions, and deliver new products and process improvements.
- Lead performance optimization, resiliency improvements, security reviews, production stability efforts, risk remediation, and compliance with Citi policies and regulations.
- Establish engineering best practices for coding, testing, debugging, CI/CD, observability, automation, and implementation.
- Use AI-powered coding assistants and engineering agents, including Lightspeed, GitHub Copilot, and Devin AI, to improve development efficiency and quality.
- Apply context engineering, prompt design, and AI-first or agentic SDLC practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor engineers and analysts, coach technical staff, allocate work, and drive technical skill development across teams.
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert, technical advisor, and stakeholder partner while resolving high-impact application and business process problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise development with deep expertise in C#, .NET Core, Angular 19+, Kafka, and SQL.
- 6+ years of experience developing and troubleshooting applications with MSaas, Microsoft SQL Server, databases, and CI/CD pipeline setup.
- Hands-on experience across analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation using .NET technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-native platforms.
- Experience using Lightspeed, GitHub Copilot, Devin AI, or similar coding agents.
- Proficiency with Entity Framework Core, including database-first and code-first data access approaches.
- Strong understanding of designing and implementing microservices with .NET Core, distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
- Experience creating and managing Windows Services and using xUnit, NUnit, and Moq for unit testing .NET applications.
- Experience driving technical design, architecture reviews, engineering governance, and technical initiatives across teams.
- Understanding of context engineering, prompt design, and agentic SDLC practices, along with secure software development and application security.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, independent judgment, and ability to influence technical direction across organizations.
- Exposure to GenAI applications, LLM-powered solutions, RAG, MCP, AI platform integrations, LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and LLM application integration is preferred.
