Responsibilities
- Perform static and dynamic analysis of malware samples and PCAPs to extract network Indicators of Compromise.
- Research CVEs and author custom Suricata IDS/IPS rules for exploits and malware command-and-control channels.
- Test detection logic against PCAP repositories to ensure high fidelity and minimize false positives.
- Map detection triggers to MITRE ATT&CK techniques and enrich emerging threat intelligence streams.
- Prune and tune enterprise Suricata signature sets to maximize inspection throughput and minimize sensor latency.
Requirements
- Experience or skills in network analysis, detection engineering, malware analysis, and scripting and automation.
