Responsibilities
- Deploy, operate, and support cloud resources within software product initiatives.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of cloud resources embedded in Product Delivery Domains.
- Advocate for and guide technical aspects of cloud adoption with stakeholders and development teams.
- Apply platform principles and standards in collaboration with the central Cloud Platform Team.
- Support and consult with stakeholders on cloud technologies and operations.
- Drive engineering excellence through modern engineering practices and processes.
- Help steer the next iteration of self-service cloud automation technologies.
Requirements
- Prior public cloud experience, preferably with Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Projects, Folders, IAM, and Billing.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using industry-standard tooling, preferably Terraform.
- Knowledge of GitOps methodologies and source code management using Git.
- Experience with custom automation and scripting using tools such as gcloud CLI, Bash, Python, and Golang.
- Experience with modern platform stacks such as Kubernetes or GKE, including service mesh, ingress, CI/CD, monitoring stacks, and security tools.
- Awareness of networking and key security considerations in public cloud environments.
