Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-native backend microservices for data collection from Azurion systems, RIS, HIS, and PACS.
- Implement ingestion pipelines for DICOM and HL7 data and transport it to the SensingLab cloud.
- Extend the OneSpace data collection framework for SensingLab-specific sources and flows.
- Build reliable, fault-tolerant, and scalable data transport services with retry, error-handling, and dead-letter patterns.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers on schemas and data quality.
- Deploy containerized services with Kubernetes and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Align integration designs with platform architecture and meet cybersecurity, privacy, and medical-device regulatory requirements.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of backend or cloud software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python for backend microservice development.
- Experience with PySpark, data modeling, REST API design, inter-service communication, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with HL7, DICOM, DICOM Web, SQL, AWS, OneSpace or similar healthcare frameworks, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and message brokers such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of healthcare data privacy, secure data handling, and medical-device regulatory requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams and proficiency with AI-assisted development tools.
