Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise data platforms based on Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Build reusable self-service capabilities for platform onboarding, provisioning, monitoring, and governance.
- Manage Kubernetes-based platform services and containerized data-processing workloads in production.
- Implement autoscaling, high availability, disaster recovery, and resiliency patterns.
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, Helm, and related Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines, automate platform provisioning, and implement GitOps release management.
- Establish monitoring, observability, alerting, incident analysis, and platform reliability improvements.
- Implement RBAC, secrets management, network security, auditing, lineage, and governance controls.
- Optimize Databricks clusters, Snowflake warehouses, Fabric capacities, and Kubernetes resources.
- Monitor utilization and implement FinOps practices and cost-governance guardrails.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Data Platform Operations.
- Strong experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric platforms.
- Production experience managing Kubernetes-based workloads.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models.
- Preferred certifications include Databricks Data Engineer or Platform Administrator, SnowPro, Microsoft Fabric, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and Terraform Associate.
- Preferred experience includes Apache Airflow, Kafka, Spark on Kubernetes, Kyuubi, GitOps, ArgoCD, service mesh, and platform SRE practices.
