Responsibilities
- Build features across Substack to support user activation and conversion.
- Iterate on key user flows and run A/B tests to improve activation metrics.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, and support staff throughout the product development process.
- Work directly with customers to solve their problems and enhance product offerings.
- Own your work and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- At least 2-8 years of software engineering experience with full stack development.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- High standards for production systems and product quality.
- Passion for building elegant and user-friendly product experiences.
- Enjoy collaboration with a diverse team and contribute unique perspectives.
- Belief in Substack's mission to improve the business model for writers.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in a fast-growing startup or growth/activation team is a plus.
