Base Salary
$165k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive software architecture and technical direction across multiple embedded software teams and product lines.
- Define shared platform capabilities, frameworks, and reusable software components.
- Lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of embedded software for satellite terminal products.
- Contribute hands-on to complex software development challenges and lead architectural and design reviews.
- Establish software engineering, testing, deployment, and quality best practices.
- Mentor engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, product, and program teams on integrated solutions.
- Influence technical strategy, modernization initiatives, technical investments, and engineering priorities.
- Support planning, estimation, risk assessment, and execution of technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on embedded software development experience using C, C++, and/or Rust.
- Demonstrated delivery of complex software products and technical leadership across multiple projects or teams.
- Extensive experience with Linux-based embedded systems.
- Strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and large-scale system design.
- Experience evaluating and improving existing software architectures and codebases.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Linux networking stacks, kernel internals, and device driver development.
- Deep understanding of software quality practices, automated testing, and development automation.
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction through collaboration rather than direct management authority.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- US citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
