Responsibilities
- Create requirements and design, implement, document, debug, and validate BMS and other embedded software.
- Implement and validate key features within high-voltage BMS systems.
- Analyze schematics and hardware component datasheets to write embedded software drivers.
- Bring up, test, and validate new circuit board designs using standard hardware test tools.
- Participate in schematic, software design, and code reviews.
- Document, publish, and ship production code while maintaining high standards for quality, maintainability, and performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years of BMS experience with high-voltage distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with practical software development experience.
- Proficiency in C and understanding of C++.
- Experience with bare-metal embedded systems, Linux development environments, Python, and Git repository management.
- Knowledge of functional safety and high-voltage distributed BMS systems.
- Experience with hardware testing using power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar equipment.
- Preferred familiarity with major electric vehicle subsystems and architecture, Jira, CAN bus, and LIN bus.
