Base Salary
$162k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers developing and sustaining software products.
- Provide technical direction for software architecture, design, coding, integration, and testing.
- Decompose system and software requirements into implementable software tasks.
- Support planning, estimation, risk management, and execution of software work products.
- Coordinate with systems engineering, test, quality, cybersecurity, and program management teams.
- Conduct peer reviews, technical reviews, and status assessments of software products.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve software defects and integration issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.
- Contribute to proposal efforts, basis-of-estimate development, and technical planning.
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership and balance technical execution with program schedule and cost objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
- A graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience may qualify.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience is required.
- Experience in embedded systems, real-time software, or safety- and mission-critical applications is preferred.
- Experience with software requirements development and traceability is preferred.
- Experience with C, C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages is preferred.
- Experience with the Link 16 waveform and software-defined radios is preferred.
- Significant experience in software engineering, including design, development, integration, and testing, is preferred.
- Experience leading software teams or serving as a technical lead is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment are required.

- Salary range is $161,500-$300,500 annually.
