Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, debug, document, and validate embedded software for Electronic Control Units.
- Inform and direct vehicle software architecture and synthesize requirements into production code.
- Analyze schematics and hardware component datasheets to develop embedded software drivers.
- Bring up, test, and validate new circuit board designs using standard hardware test tools.
- Participate in schematic, software design, and code reviews.
- Support thermal systems, vehicle fault management, automotive standards compliance, ECU selection, and engineering vendor evaluations.
Requirements
- 15+ years of pure software development experience and 5+ years of automotive or relevant industry experience with strong hardware systems aptitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with practical software development experience.
- Proficiency in software and systems architecture, C programming, bare-metal embedded systems, Linux development environments, Git repository management, and production code practices.
- Experience with hardware testing using power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar tools.
- Preferred experience with vehicle thermal systems, fault management, calibration interfaces, Battery Management Systems, battery charging systems, and electric vehicle subsystems.
- Preferred familiarity with UDS, XCP, CAN, LIN, Python, and Jira.
