Responsibilities
- Set the team’s technical direction and help guide engineering vision.
- Architect important systems and anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges.
- Design, build, and continually improve core backend infrastructure.
- Develop a product-focused API layer for front-end and eventual external developers.
- Act as a player-coach and champion code quality and developer experience.
- Improve real-time blockchain data pipelines.
- Improve continuous integration, deployment, logging, metrics, and service/site health visibility.
- Develop best practices for backend application development.
- Mentor and train other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience writing production software.
- Must live between GMT-8 and GMT-5 in North American time zones.
- Public contributions to open source projects are preferred.
- Experience solving complex distributed systems problems is preferred.
- Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL is preferred.
