Responsibilities
- Architect cloud and hybrid infrastructure across cloud providers and on-premises locations with multi-region high availability and disaster recovery.
- Build and maintain internal platforms, production infrastructure, and petabyte-scale data analytics systems.
- Develop software and automation for deployment, monitoring, alerting, infrastructure management, and operations.
- Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines while reducing manual ClickOps and operational toil.
- Apply site reliability engineering practices, including sustainable incident response, performance measurement, and blameless postmortems.
- Own platform functionality end to end, including availability, latency, performance, security, data consistency, and user privacy.
- Drive the technical vision for Platform Engineering-owned platforms and evaluate the technology stack.
- Mentor Platform Engineers and lead projects and cross-team engagements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of production engineering and management experience covering deployment, release, maintenance, and migration using DevOps tools and methodologies.
- At least 8 years of production-code development experience in a high-level programming language such as Python, Golang, Ruby, or JavaScript.
- At least 5 years of medium- to large-scale production infrastructure management experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building and managing cybersecurity platforms such as Splunk, Sentinel, ELK, Anvilogic, Crogl, or Databricks.
- Strong experience with workflow and operations automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Production experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, AWS CDK, or similar tools.
- Deep understanding and production experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Harness, Spinnaker, or Argo CD.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and experience securing cloud platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot and measure complex cloud-environment performance and strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, including networking, filesystems, kernel, and isolation.
- Production experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Understanding of distributed-systems design, end-to-end ownership, autonomy, project leadership, and cross-team collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills.
