Responsibilities
- Design schemas, aggregation layers, and data pipelines that provide reliable analytics data for customers, product, and finance.
- Build customer-facing dashboards, APIs, and data contracts for usage, credit consumption, performance metrics, and community insights.
- Implement event-level usage metering, attribution, audit-grade correctness, and reconciliation pipelines connecting product data to billing and finance.
- Build forecasting, sentiment analysis, and other applied data products that generate customer and business insights.
- Own data quality testing, pipeline observability, anomaly detection, and reliability for billing and reporting data.
- Drive code quality, testing strategy, documentation, mentoring, and end-to-end system ownership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend or data systems for production SaaS.
- Strong experience with relational modeling, Postgres, pipelines, aggregation systems, indexing, query optimization, and data correctness.
- Fluency with statistics, forecasting, and machine learning techniques, including judgment about when to use regression versus neural networks.
- Proven ability to design clear, evolvable APIs and data contracts across services and customer-facing surfaces.
- Interest in taking insights through to customer-facing screens using React or Next.js.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining reliability, security, and quality.
- Experience with usage-based billing, metering, credit ledgers, rating engines, or revenue reconciliation is a plus.
- LLM product or large-scale LLM-generated data experience is a plus.
- Experience with dbt, warehouses or lakehouses, event streaming, orchestration tools, or customer-used analytics products is a plus.
