Responsibilities
- Define requirements for new application functionality with business users.
- Develop, test, support, and maintain code for client applications.
- Assist the Project Manager with project delivery activities.
- Work collaboratively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Analyze data and create reports for clients.
- Mentor and train junior developers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of kdb+ development experience.
- A minimum 2:1 degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or another scientific or engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of KX Surveillance or technical solution development in a surveillance context is highly advantageous.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and financial concepts quickly.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and the Systems Development Life Cycle.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, independent-working, teamwork, and client-facing skills.
- Desired experience includes trade-surveillance technology, market-abuse regulations, Python, KX Surveillance deployment and enhancement, AI and machine learning, cloud development, time-series data solutions, investment banking or large financial organizations, people management, and technical project or sub-team leadership.
