Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Python backend microservices for manufacturing use cases.
  • Expose application logic through REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Develop asynchronous, event-driven components using MQTT-based communication.
  • Design and implement relational databases, data models, and persistence layers.
  • Integrate backend services with production systems, OT, enterprise applications, and data platforms.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions involving scalability, maintainability, and code quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to less experienced developers when needed.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in Python backend development.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices and distributed architectures.
  • Experience with FastAPI, Django/Django REST Framework, Flask, and/or Strawberry GraphQL.
  • Strong experience developing REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of database design, SQL, and ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
  • Experience with asynchronous and event-driven processing, including MQTT.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Git, and automated testing practices.
  • Preferred: experience with Manufacturing, Industrial IoT, or Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Preferred: familiarity with MES, production orders, PLC/OT data, and industrial telemetry.
  • Preferred: experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and CI/CD pipelines.
