Base Salary
$139k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale software delivery efforts and serve as the development lead for medium and large projects.
- Provide architectural guidance and make broader design decisions for long-term technology strategies.
- Conduct design reviews for Agile and Plan of Record projects and code reviews for Next Gen Architecture projects.
- Develop, promote, and communicate design patterns, best practices, and architecture standards across lines of business.
- Assess technical and business risks, communicate impacts, manage escalations, and drive timely trade-off decisions.
- Guide teams on efficient systems design, including resource usage, runtime, performance, load, and memory requirements.
- Partner with engineering managers, TPMs, business stakeholders, and technical teams to plan and deliver projects.
- Mentor and coach SDEs and empower engineering teams through technical guidance.
- Drive metrics and adoption for design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD, and design patterns.
- Support software development lifecycle improvements, code quality automation, unit testing, and build processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- 6–10 years of relevant professional experience, including significant technology leadership experience in wealth management, banking, or a related domain.
- Expertise in algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, networking, and enterprise application architecture.
- Hands-on experience with frontend development using Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with backend development using Java and microservices architecture.
- Experience developing robust enterprise-grade applications and working across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with cloud platforms and technologies including AWS, PCF, and Akamai.
- Experience with modern development tools such as Devin, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of wealth management, retail banking operations, CRM, investment products, and financial-institution back-office operations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical and strategic concepts to diverse audiences.
