Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework for retail banking applications.
- Develop Python services, automation utilities, and data-processing components for banking workflows.
- Create, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access layers for financial transactions.
- Integrate microservices with relational databases and internal banking platforms while maintaining data consistency and auditability.
- Implement secure coding practices for authentication, authorization, encryption, input validation, and data protection.
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across microservices and database layers.
- Prepare technical documentation covering APIs, data models, and service interactions.
- Support deployment pipelines, configuration management, monitoring, and production incident resolution with reliability and operations teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes while contributing to architecture and development-practice improvements.
Requirements
- Six to ten years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework in enterprise environments.
- Advanced Python proficiency for services, automation scripts, and data-processing components.
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and transaction management.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable and fault-tolerant microservices.
- Experience with retail banking processes such as accounts, payments, loans, and customer servicing.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices and access-control models for banking platforms.
- Familiarity with version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Experience working with agile delivery practices in a regulated industry environment.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills when working with cross-functional stakeholders.
