Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of medium- to large-sized features and enhancements.
- Apply expertise in multithreading, concurrency, collections, transaction management, and distributed system design.
- Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, performance, and production issues.
- Drive code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD adoption, cloud-native engineering practices, and engineering productivity improvements.
- Use AI-powered engineering tools, coding agents, context engineering, and AI-first development practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, act as a subject matter expert, and manage technology risks and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, multithreading and concurrency, collections, transaction management, SQL/RDBMS, and cloud fundamentals.
- Experience with solution design, code reviews, performance tuning, production support, mentoring developers, and leading technical discussions.
- Familiarity with Git, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to independently lead technical initiatives with limited supervision, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, observability and monitoring platforms, and AI coding agents.
- Preferred knowledge includes context engineering, prompt design, agentic software development lifecycle practices, application security, secure software development, GenAI applications, LLM-powered solutions, RAG, MCP, and AI platform integrations.
