Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk analysis, application development, and model development.
- Design, construct, test, implement, monitor, and support new or revised application systems.
- Analyze complex application and business-process problems and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop security measures and conduct post-implementation analysis of business usage and system functionality.
- Develop Java/J2EE applications, REST services, microservices, and UI applications.
- Work with Red Hat Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, databases, and continuous integration services.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology teams and provide operational and user support.
- Define operating standards and processes and ensure required procedures are followed.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new and lower-level analysts.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, and operational risks appropriately.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of engineering experience using Java/J2EE, Spring, Git, Oracle, and related infrastructure technologies.
- Recommended 8–12 years of relevant experience as a Java full-stack developer.
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and Jasper Framework technologies.
- Experience developing REST services and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Oracle and other database technologies.
- Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and container platforms including Kubernetes and OpenShift, as well as AWS.
- Hands-on experience with JSP, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS for UI application development.
- Knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Copilot, CI/CD pipelines, and IntelliJ IDEA.
- Experience with systems analysis, software application programming, and successful project implementation.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to use consulting and project management techniques, work under pressure, and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
