Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Apply expertise in multithreading, concurrency, collections, transaction management, and distributed system design.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of medium- to large-sized features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, performance, and production issues.
- Drive code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD adoption, automation, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Use AI-powered engineering tools, coding agents, Context Engineering, and AI-first development practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and serve as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and partner teams.
- Identify engineering productivity improvements, manage technology risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, multithreading, concurrency, the Collections Framework, transaction management, SQL/RDBMS, and cloud fundamentals.
- Experience with solution design, code reviews, performance tuning, and production support.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical discussions and initiatives with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, observability and monitoring platforms, and AI coding agents.
- Preferred understanding of Context Engineering, prompt design, Agentic SDLC practices, application security, secure software development, GenAI applications, LLM-powered solutions, RAG, MCP, and AI platform integrations.
