Responsibilities
- Create training and evaluation plans from customer use cases.
- Select data, models, training approaches, infrastructure, and serving configurations.
- Fine-tune and evaluate models for specialised domains and improve quality using testing and production feedback.
- Design cost-effective cloud or on-premise deployment and inference systems.
- Improve reliability, latency, and operating costs, and build monitoring, backup, and recovery processes.
- Build language-model agent workflows with customer data, tools, and existing systems, including production controls and observability.
- Work with customers from requirements discovery through production launch and explain trade-offs among quality, cost, privacy, and complexity.
Requirements
- Strong experience in at least two of model customisation, deployment and inference, agent systems, and customer delivery.
- Practical experience building or operating production AI systems.
- Solid software engineering or machine learning engineering skills.
- Familiarity with open-weight language models and the modern LLM ecosystem.
- Good judgement balancing model quality, cost, latency, and reliability.
- Ability to handle ambiguous technical and customer requirements.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
