Responsibilities
- Transition legacy and manual deployment processes to automated DevOps practices.
- Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines across development, QA, production, on-premises, and AWS environments.
- Develop automation strategies with cross-functional teams to improve organizational throughput.
- Design reliable continuous deployment solutions that improve availability and uptime.
- Manage operational costs, resource utilization, and capacity planning across on-premises and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Omnitracs environments and support development and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Track and ensure timely remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Maintain product, feature, tool, and training documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations within a 24x7x365 global operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer information science, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of experience driving CI/CD for systems deployed to cloud providers, preferably with AWS services and operations.
- At least 2 years of experience in a 24x7x365 global SaaS/PaaS operation.
- At least 2 years of experience with virtualization and Docker containers.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, batch, bash, Python, or equivalent.
- Preferred candidates have at least 2 years of experience with a substantial portion of the listed CI/CD and infrastructure technologies.
- Ability to design complex systems using multiple legacy and modern technologies.
- Understanding of CI/CD, code quality, operational readiness, security, and industry best practices.
- Strong organizational skills, ownership, urgency, collaboration, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
