Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement enterprise shared services and application systems using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Participate in feasibility studies, planning, risk assessment, application analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Provide application analysis, tuning, performance measurement, reliability improvements, and Tier 3 production support.
- Troubleshoot critical production situations and support enterprise applications in a highly transactional computing environment.
- Consult with business users, clients, technology groups, and senior stakeholders to recommend programming solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Define operating standards and procedures and monitor development through implementation.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, advisor, or coach to junior and lower-level analysts.
- Exercise independent judgment and limited-supervision autonomy while assessing and escalating technology and control risks.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining enterprise shared services.
- Strong experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, JMS, WebSphere MQ, TIBCO EMS, OSGi, Git, REST APIs, SSL, and related open-source technologies.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and OpenShift.
- Critical-situation troubleshooting skills; experience with Samurai, Thread Dump Analyzer, or Memory Analyzer Tool is a plus.
- Hands-on Linux command skills; RHEL experience is a plus.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with DevOps tools, including GitHub, Lighspeed, uDeploy, and SonarQube.
- Experience working in an Agile development lifecycle and supporting production technology on a Tier 3 basis.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Professional maturity when working with all levels of management and staff.
