Responsibilities
- Bring your own point of view on best engineering practices.
- Collaborate across teams and time zones to complete projects.
- Lead complex technical projects from requirements analysis to launch.
- Contribute to implementation while mentoring other engineers.
- Identify and improve platform robustness and scalability.
- Build features with a mindset for large-scale usage.
- Launch functionalities that impact many merchants and shoppers quickly.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience as an engineer.
- Current role as a Senior Software Engineer or similar level.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts.
- Flexibility and teamwork with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with complex large-scale distributed systems.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building Java-based web services.
- Experience in designing performant database models in PostgreSQL or similar.
- Knowledge of software architecture paradigms like event-driven systems.
