Responsibilities
- Configure Advanced Returns Management in SAP S/4HANA, including returns order types, inspection codes, follow-up activity determination, and refund determination.
- Set up returns delivery, goods receipt, stock types, movement types, and blocked, quality-inspection, and scrap dispositions.
- Configure refund and credit memo determination so financial reversals align with physical stock disposition.
- Maintain returns reason codes and reporting for returns analytics.
- Coordinate integration and dependencies across SD, MM, FI, Inventory Management, EWM, Billing, Procurement, and warehouse teams.
- Deliver configuration, build, testing, regression validation, configuration rationale, unit-test evidence, and cutover documentation.
- Diagnose and resolve defects across configuration, master data, document flows, and interface layers.
- Use AI assistants and SAP Joule for Consultants for analysis, test-case generation, configuration guidance, and troubleshooting, validating outputs before transport.
- Document reusable configuration patterns, support workstream analysts, and communicate delivery risks and blockers.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience in SAP Sales and Distribution, including advanced SAP S/4HANA Returns Management configuration.
- Hands-on experience with returns order, returns delivery, goods receipt, credit memo document flow, and copy control.
- Working knowledge of stock types, movement types, and returned-goods disposition handling.
- Practical experience configuring refund and credit determination rules.
- Ability to diagnose returns issues across SD, MM, and FI.
- Evidence of AI-assisted delivery work, reusable accelerators, scripted delivery automation, or codified patterns adopted by others.
- Working experience with SAP Joule for Consultants, or ability to achieve working proficiency within 90 days of joining.
- Experience meeting sprint commitments on an enterprise SAP programme with reviewed defect and rework performance.
- Ability to independently investigate ambiguous defects, identify root causes, and communicate delivery risks.
- Hands-on configuration and build experience on at least one full SAP implementation or major rollout.
- Preferred experience with return-to-supplier scenarios in MM, QM integration, reverse logistics in EWM, and direct-to-consumer or omnichannel returns.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
