Responsibilities
- Architect and implement modern, high-quality frontend experiences for retail businesses.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform teams to deliver cohesive improvements.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to technical decisions.
- Continuously improve UI systems and patterns for scalable feature development.
- Explore emerging technologies to enhance the Toast Retail experience.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience building modern web applications with a strong frontend focus.
- Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, and web standards (HTML5, CSS3).
- Solid understanding of component architecture, state management, and design systems.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and shipping user-facing features.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, etc.).
- Passion for clean, maintainable code.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving team, balancing quality and speed.
- Bonus: Experience in Retail software or designing systems for new customer verticals.
