Base Salary
$190k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build secure and scalable data platforms supporting product and customer needs and data-driven decision-making.
- Develop high-quality, performant, maintainable, and robustly tested code primarily in Java and Python.
- Design data platforms and pipelines using distributed event technologies and modern data storage systems.
- Understand business and data needs to build appropriate solutions and new data products.
- Document technical work and interface with internal business stakeholders and technology partners to support operations.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience building high-volume, low-latency data platforms and pipelines.
- Experience with distributed event technologies such as Pubsub, Kafka, and Kinesis.
- Experience with data storage systems such as Spanner, Postgres, BigQuery, Cassandra, and data lakes.
- Preferred experience with BigQuery and Snowflake.
- Ability to model and design modern data structures in SQL and NoSQL databases, including data lakes and data warehouses.
- Experience writing scalable, performant, and maintainable code using Java 11 or later or Python 3.7 or later.
- Proficiency with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code across the software development lifecycle.
- Bonus experience with GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and fintech.
