Responsibilities
- Maintain focus on assigned accounts to ensure customers extract maximum value from their Astronomer investment.
- Support Astro Private Cloud Airflow installations in on-premise environments.
- Set up and measure monitoring and alerting metrics for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to Kubernetes and other critical services.
- Drive major incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
- Develop automation scripts for environment monitoring and health checks.
- Provide guidance for critical infrastructure issues.
- Stay updated on Airflow and Astronomer's products and features.
- Collect customer feedback and relay recommendations to the Product team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience.
- 3-5 years of industry experience.
- Strong understanding of microservices/service-oriented architecture.
- Knowledge and experience in Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
- Experience in setting up and debugging networking issues.
- Advanced understanding of at least one Cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Comfortable interacting with customers through various mediums.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Empathetic and customer-focused problem solver.
- Data-driven with a passion for delivering an excellent customer experience.
