Base Salary

$103k - $133k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI pipelines in GitHub Actions and integrate them with deployment tooling.
  • Own Helm charts and environment values for service deployments.
  • Instrument pipelines and microservices with metrics, logging, tracing, and retention controls.
  • Define service level objectives, error budgets, and user-impact-focused alerting.
  • Automate push-button, reversible releases and rollbacks while improving delivery speed and safety.
  • Create developer tooling that improves how quickly and safely engineers ship.
  • Deploy and operate containerized services on Kubernetes.
  • Manage infrastructure as code and maintain consistent, reproducible environments.
  • Participate in incident response and convert findings into durable fixes.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery testing and recovery-objective validation.
  • Document architectural decisions and integrate effectively with the platform team.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of platform, developer experience, infrastructure, or reliability engineering with a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years without a degree.
  • Experience supporting developer experience across build, test, deployment, and observability.
  • Experience building and operating production application services in Java or a comparable language.
  • Experience instrumenting services and pipelines with metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Experience defining service level objectives, operating with error budgets, and creating meaningful alerting.
  • Experience reducing deployment friction through automation and improving change failure and recovery performance.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals and experience operating containerized services on Kubernetes, Nomad, or similar orchestrators.
  • Preferred proficiency in Python, Terraform, and YAML.
  • Experience with Docker or Podman, GitOps deployment workflows, CI pipeline integration, shell scripting, incident response, and disaster recovery testing is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes financial markets infrastructure or other regulated, latency-sensitive systems.
  • Nice-to-have experience includes AWS, Azure, or GCP; AI-assisted development tooling; SQL and PostgreSQL; and standing up a platform function from scratch.
