$279k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Bootstrap and maintain Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure for ML Platform serving, metadata, model registry, and pipeline orchestration components.
- Set technical strategy and oversee the development of high-scale, reliable infrastructure systems.
- Develop platform tooling that improves time to production for machine learning engineers and data scientists across the ML lifecycle.
- Build infrastructure for GPU fleet management, hybrid-cloud orchestration, and custom Kubernetes controllers and resources.
- Monitor industry trends in machine learning and infrastructure and guide adoption of leading technologies and practices.
- Partner with internal organizations to build tooling, interfaces, and visualizations for ML platform users.
- Investigate postmortems and identify weaknesses in complex systems while automating manual infrastructure processes.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience and strong system design experience building scalable, reliable platforms.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes and large-scale cluster management, including environments with hundreds to thousands of nodes and 100,000+ QPS; custom Kubernetes controller experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code across AWS, GCP, or similar cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and cloud infrastructure bootstrapping.
- Experience across the ML model lifecycle, including model serving, training, model CI/CD, GPU resource management, and ML platform features.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
