Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop and execute automated Web UI, API, and end-to-end tests while maintaining Selenium-based automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to define test strategies and identify test scenarios, edge cases, and automation opportunities.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive testing and provide actionable execution reports.
- Debug application defects and work with development teams to resolve them.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.
- Contribute to test strategy, quality metrics, execution optimization, parallel execution, and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Strong automation testing background with hands-on Playwright experience and proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, and Java.
- Experience implementing Page Object Model and other framework design patterns, including data-driven and behavior-driven testing.
- Experience with REST API testing using Playwright API Testing and Postman; REST Assured experience is preferred.
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java; Java is preferred.
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch, optimizing test execution, implementing parallel execution strategies, and building reporting and logging frameworks.
- Experience or exposure to Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker, SQL queries, and data validation techniques.
- Experience with Cucumber, JMeter or k6, Azure or AWS, accessibility testing, security testing, and AI-assisted testing tools is advantageous.
