Responsibilities

Design and scale CNA’s AI-native engineering platform across agentic coding workflows, skills and agent marketplaces, AI-augmented CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates, and rapid environment provisioning.
Build multi-agent orchestration patterns, sub-agent frameworks, skill authoring standards, and context engineering practices.
Integrate Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot into governed software delivery workflows.
Advise engineering leadership, portfolio teams, and architecture on AI-native development, AI-generated code quality, human-in-the-loop requirements, and AI autonomy.
Define standards, review processes, and governance for the centralized skills and agent marketplace, including enterprise definitions for skills, agents, and MCP configurations.
Mentor engineers across the organization in agentic coding, context engineering, prompt-to-code workflows, and AI-assisted testing.
Research and evaluate AI engineering tools, agent orchestration systems, evaluation platforms, environment provisioning automation, and related infrastructure.
Lead build-versus-buy analysis for CI/CD tooling, sandbox provisioning, and LLM evaluation infrastructure.
Partner with Architecture, Security, Cloud Engineering, and Data teams to integrate the platform with enterprise infrastructure and meet security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related discipline, with a master’s preferred, or equivalent work experience.
At least 9 years of diverse software engineering experience, including at least 6 years in application development.
At least 2 years of recent experience building or operating AI-augmented development tools, agentic systems, or developer platforms.
Expertise in agentic coding workflows, prompt and context engineering, multi-agent orchestration, MCP protocol, and skill or agent authoring.
Expert-level experience building and operating CI/CD platforms, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and cloud platforms.
Strong knowledge of application security engineering, supply chain security, artifact management, static and dynamic analysis, secret management, and AI-generated-code attack vectors.
Hands-on production experience with LLM-based engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
Ability to design developer platforms serving hundreds of engineers and to evaluate emerging AI technologies for production readiness.
Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational influence, and technical mentoring skills.
Experience scaling inner-source or platform engineering programs and applicable cloud, AI/ML, or security certifications are preferred.

The stated national base pay range is $97,000 to $189,000 annually in applicable jurisdictions.
