Base Salary

$83k - $222k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal and external penetration tests and exploit identified vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and execute adversary emulation and purple team exercises to evaluate detection and response capabilities.
  • Use and maintain penetration testing tools including Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nmap, and Burp Suite.
  • Produce detailed findings reports with actionable remediation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with blue teams, detection engineering, SOC, and incident response teams to improve monitoring, alerting, investigations, and response workflows.
  • Develop adversary operations strategy, risk-based remediation priorities, threat-hunting use cases, and executive security reporting.
  • Automate penetration testing tasks and contribute custom red teaming and offensive security tools using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Provide adversary tactics insight during active incident investigations and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, or related tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • At least 3 years of experience with cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP and with container security.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; alternatively, a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred certifications include OSCP, OSCE, CISSP, CEH, or GPEN.
  • Experience managing or participating in purple team exercises is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and CIS is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex security issues to nontechnical stakeholders are preferred.
